직역하면 “이미 뭔가를 지지하고 있는 사람들에게 그것을 지지하라고 설득하다;

한 사람의 의견을 가장 잘 받아들일 사람들에게 그 의견을 말하다.” 이 정도겠죠.

한영사전을 보면 역시 비슷한 말입니다. “이미 어떤 견해를 갖고 있는 사람들에게

그 견해를 설파하는 말을 하다” 입니다.
